About Us
LaGravinese Jewelers is a 4th Generation Family Business, founded by Dominick Lagravinese in 1917. Dominick came to The United States from Italy in 1901. He started as a diamond setter in New York City. Eventually, Dominick's son, Bob, moved the family business to Westchester County in 1964. His son, Robert, opened LaGravinese Jewelers in Bronxville, NY in 1976. Today Robert still owns the store, working with his wife, Julianna, and his children, Robby, Matthew, and Karina.
Robert Lagravinese: Robert graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in 1975 and later taught at the school. He has proudly owned and operated LaGravinese Jewelers in Bronxville since 1976.
Robby Lagravinese: Robby received his Masters in Business Administration from Western Connecticut University. Prior to working with his family he owned a jewelry business in Larchmont, NY and worked for Tiffany & Co. at the world famous flagship location on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Robby lives in Connecticut with his wife, Basia, and four children, Nicolo, Dante, Luca, and Luciana.
Matthew Lagravinese: Matthew has worked at LaGravinese Jewelers full-time since 2001. Matthew directs Logistics for the business. He plays a vital role in the business with vendor and customer relationship management. He has a strong passion and knowledge of fine watches.
Karina Lagravinese-Rousou: Karina received a degree in Appraisal from New York University and is a Diamond Graduate from the Gemological Institute of America. She has a background in design and appraisals management. With a well-rounded knowledge of jewelry industry, her main focus at LaGravinese Jewelers is buying and appraisals.
Julianna Mitchell-Lagravinese: Julianna has worked at LaGravinese Jewelers for over 10 years. She has a passion for custom jewelry design and repurposing meaningful pieces and family heirlooms. She loves listening to the stories behind the jewelry and working with clients to bring together sentiment and style to create something beautiful. Julianna also pierces ears. She enjoys being a part of special moments with clients and friends and for that reason ear-piercing has a lot of meaning to her.
Paulette Galella: Paulette has worked with the LaGravinese family for over 40 years. She is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the industry. Paulette's main responsibilities are sales and ear-piercing. She holds a diamond graduate degree from The Gemological Institutre of America. Paulette lives in Eastchester with her daughter, Gianna.
