Antique Japanese Cultured Pearl Ring in Gold



This ring is a real unique beauty, made in Japan in the early 20th century.  The ring contains a cultured pearl center surrounded by a double halo of cultured pearls.  The first pearls were successfully cultured in 1893, by Mikimoto.  At the time that this ring was created it was still a fairly new art.


7.5mm center cultured pearl in the center

28 pearls in the 2 halos measuring approximately 2mm in diameter each.

Hallmarked K14, a stamp common in Mikimoto jewelry and jewelry made in Japan

17.2mm diameter for the top part of the ring.
